Almost 3 years ago, the North Carolina Museum of Art (the center of all things artistic in the triangle and just a 25 minute drive from the Arrowhead Inn!) hosted a puppet show in their outdoor amphitheater. Though you may think puppets are for children, Paperhand Puppet Intervention will prove you completely wrong.
Paperhand Puppet Intervention is a collaborative group of artists that create beautiful works of eco-concious art in the form of puppets. The beloved triangle troupe builds spider-size puppets, people-size puppets and puppets as tall as houses, all bearing big messages about acting responsibly and compassionately toward nature and our fellow humans.
On Sunday, May 30th, Paperhand will come a little closer to our Durham Bed and Breakfast to perform a show at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens and then lead a public parade through the flowering landscape. This combination of green art and beautiful outdoor spaces should not be missed!
The performance will take place in Angle Amphitheater behind the Doris Duke Center. Tickets are $10 per person. Call 668-1708 for more information and enjoy the show!
