Family Activities
City of Durham Holiday Fun Fest
On December 1st join in the holiday festivities such as sledding, a petting zoo, a meet and greet with Santa, as well as campfires and s’mores, all at Durham’s Central Park.
Santa Train
Santa will bring his magic to the Museum of Life and Science where you and your loved ones can enjoy a night-time train ride in a holiday wonderland. There will also be music, hot cocoa, and make ‘n’ take craft activities for kids. Pre-purchase tickets for one of the dates below:

Handel’s Messiah
On December 1st and 2nd enjoy the glorious sound of Handel’s Messiah in beautiful Duke Chapel. This long standing tradition features a professional orchestra and the Duke Chapel Choir.
A Christmas Carol
Don’t miss this holiday favorite being put on at the Durham Performing Arts Center December 15th and 16th. Tickets often sell out so get yours soon!
Joy an Irish Christmas
Husband and wife performers, Keith and Kristyn Getty perform your favorite Christmas carols, modern hymns, and Irish folk reels ad the DPAC on December 18th.
